Week 1 Tailoring Workshop
Today we started our tailoring workshop we started by unpicking a tailored garment, i chose to unpick a tailored jacket. We did this to look closer into how a tailored garment is constructed and what is used to create the garment. This activity showed me how many layers of different fabrics are used to create a jacket and how they are stitched together whether it be hand stitched or machine stitched. We then watched a demonstration from the lecturer as to how to start to draft the half bodice and sleeve of a tailored jacket.
